How it works

Every hour, one reply can win the pot. Entering is free.

The JPAW cat at the money printer
  1. Reply directly to the current draw post from @just4apollo with $JPAW and your Solana address. A reply to someone else's reply does not count.
  2. Wait for the top of the hour. A winner is picked at random.
  3. Get paid. The winner is paid automatically within minutes.

The rules

  • One reply per round. Reply more than once and you're out for that round, first reply included. Put $JPAW and your address in a single reply.
  • Be on time. Replies must be posted before entries close, 1 minute before each draw. Draws run every 5 minutes.
  • Real accounts only. Your X account must be at least 30 days old with at least 10 followers. Didn't qualify? Try again the next day.
  • Limited spots. Each round has a limited number of spots, first come, first served. The front page shows the cap and how many are taken once reading has started.

What address to use

  • Your wallet: if you win, you're paid in SOL.
  • A pump.fun coin: if you win, the prize buys that coin and burns it. Nothing is sent to you. It works for coins still on the bonding curve and coins that graduated to PumpSwap.
  • We remember your address. After your first entry, just reply $JPAW. Replying with a new address replaces the old one. An invalid address is rejected for that round, and your saved address stays.
  • Rejections are public. Rejected and disqualified entries are listed on the draw page with the reason.

The prizes

  • Hourly: the winner gets 20% of the hourly pot. The rest rolls over.
  • Mega: each draw has a 1 in 4 chance to hit the mega pot. The winner then gets half the mega pot, the other half starts the next one, and the hourly pot rolls over.
  • Rollovers: if nobody enters, or the prize would be under $0.01, everything rolls over to the next hour.

When a draw rolls over

Pot still building. Entries are only read once the prize reaches $0.01. Until then, replies still count, they're just read later. If the pot doesn't get there by the close, there's no draw that hour (and no mega chance) and everything rolls over.

Where the money comes from

Every $JPAW trade on pump.fun pays a creator fee. Fees are collected every few minutes and split:

  • 45% buys $JPAW and burns it
  • 45% funds the prizes, half to the hourly pot, half to the mega pot
  • 10% goes to the operator (this can only ever go down, never up)

Is it fair?

The operator can't pick the winner. Before each draw, the list of entrants is locked on Solana. Only after that is the winner picked, using randomness from drand, a public randomness service nobody can predict. Every draw has a verify page where you can check this yourself.

Full details

Valid addresses

A wallet must be a plain wallet: not a program account, not a token account, and not one of the draw's own wallets. A coin must be a pump.fun coin traded against SOL. Addresses are checked again at draw time.

Entry budget

Reading replies and checking accounts costs fees on X: $0.001 per reply read and $0.01 per new account checked. Accounts that qualified once are never checked again. Each round's budget is 2% of the hourly pot. When that's under $1.00, the API buffer tops it up toward $1.00 as far as it can. The budget is fixed when reading starts. After each draw, if the buffer is below its target, up to 0.5% of the hourly pot refills it. The buffer aims to cover about a day of reading costs: 24 times the average spend of the last 24 draws, and never less than $24.00. Reading entries never takes more than 2.5% of the hourly pot, and unused budget stays in the pot. The number of spots is the budget divided by $0.011 (one reply read plus one account check).

Buffer target now: $24.00(no draws yet, so the floor applies).

How replies are read

Replies are read every few minutes from the bot's own mentions, oldest first, and each post is paid for only once. At close, the whole round is read one more time to catch posts X showed late. Anyone admitted posted before anyone who wasn't. Reading stops when all spots are filled or the budget runs out. If the budget runs out with fewer than 1 valid entrants, everything rolls over, so flooding the replies wins nothing. Replying more than once disqualifies the account for that round; its extra replies only cost their read.

Who pays which costs

The hourly pot pays for the announcement post and the network fees of each draw. For a coin payout, extra costs (token account rent, curve fees) come from the pot paying the prize. The burn pays its own costs. If the coin buy fails 5 times, the prize returns to the pot and the announcement says so.

Operator top-ups and deposits

The operator can add to the hourly pot or the API buffer from their own wallet. Every top-up is listed under Payments with its transaction. SOL sent to the draw wallet by anyone else goes to the hourly pot and is listed under Payments. $JPAW sent to it is burned. Any other token is ignored. The mega pot is never topped up.

Verification, step by step

  1. Lock. At close, entrants are sorted by X user id and hashed. The hash is published in a Solana memo signed by the hot wallet (…). There is exactly one such memo per draw.
  2. Seed. The random seed is the first drand quicknet round published at least 60 seconds after that memo's block time. Nobody can know it when the list is locked.
  3. Pick. Winner = uniform(randomness, "draw:N:winner", entrants). Mega = uniform(randomness, "draw:N:mega", 4) == 0, the odds published with the draw. Both use SHA-256 rejection sampling, so there is no modulo bias.
  4. Payout check. The payout must be signed by the hot wallet and either send the exact amount to the winner's wallet, or buy the winner's coin and burn it in the same transaction.

Anyone can re-run it: each draw has a verify page.

Fine print

Entries are free. Payouts are automatic and final. Entering a coin address means you want the prize spent on buying and burning that coin; nothing is sent to you.
